I began researching renewable energy possibilities in 2006 - 2007. I had done a fair amount of reading and online research. I had also received a couple online and downstate contractor solor PV quotes.
After much research I discovered CBS. Devon O'Shea was vey helpful in helping me design and install my PV system. It was nice he was close to my location. I originally could afford 6 panels @ 1.05 KW's. Devon designed my system to accommodate another 6 panels when I could afford them. July of 2008 we install the first 6 panels on a pole mount. Approximately one year later I added another 6 panels, making my system a 2.1 KW system. Devon help with the interconnection Agreement with Consumers Energy and all other permits.
It is presently August 1, 2011. To date I have generated 6,030 KWh's. I am very pleased with my systems. Most months I generate as much electricity as I use. On average 7 KWh's per day. I have never had a problem with my panels, raking system, or PV Powered Inverter.
My only maintenance of the panels consists of washing with a hose, and brushing snow off in the winter. I change the tilt 4 times per year. It takes approximately 10 minutes to do by myself.
I am very pleased with my system. I would recommend CBS to any one that is interested in renewable energy. I enjoy doing my small part to be sustainable.
